Chiharu finishes rolling up the carpet, listening to Keska's ego taking flight like a newly built airship. She runs a hand down her face, although admittedly she can't help but be a little amused. Then a sudden chill runs down her spine and she barely manages to spin around but is completely taken off-guard by Keska's incredible speed as the girl locks Chi in a bear hug.
Naturally her first response is to swear in her native tongue followed by plenty of furious wiggling in an attempt to both hold on to the carpet, lest it unrolls, and also escape Keska's hug. Though after listening to her partner she somewhat gives in and simply waits for this terrible situation to pass. Although, if she was forced to answer she supposes its not the end of the world or anything. Maybe a hug was very appropriate right now. Her face then runs red, once again, and she continues to wiggle around, eventually slipping out of Keska's affectionate embrace. "W-well we'll see. We're not sure if we have the money for this kind of thing!" she turns her head and closes her eyes, pouting as her blush starts to fade a little. "Let's get this stuff home first, a-and we'll talk about it then!!"
She holsters the carpet under one arm and stomps past Keska, grabbing the girls hand on the way past as she begins to pull her in the direction of their shared home.

Much to her own surprise, Keska manages to actually catch her companion despite her lack of muscle power. Even with her subsequent fidgeting, she remained in Keska’s grasp; a paradoxical state of being for most living things. Having said her piece, the Noble got another, more intimate look into her subordinate’s eyes as she waited for a response. The close proximity causes Chi to break out of captivity all together, leaving her to stammer out an excuse about the trip. Keska, oblivious about why Chiharu is suddenly so flustered, puts her hands on her hips and closes her eyes as she slightly pouts. “So… So stubborn! You know we can!” Anything but an outright yes, was considered a no in this situation. Money was replenishable, but Keska’s world otherwise was not.
After a few seconds, Keska decides “I’m not worried about money! I'm worried about y-” her voice is cut off as Chi snatches her hand and starts dragging her away to their apartment. “H-hey!! You may be my employee but- HEY! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?” She playfully yells as her heels lightly drag the ground. These displays of Chi’s superhuman strength (frequently exaggerated in Keska's mind) and the hard-headedness that came with them, always seemed to spontaneously occur. Usually it involved Keska herself in some manner, but that was to be expected she thought. After all they spent every waking hour together, there’s no way she alone could get Chi so disconcerted.
“Please treat me to something nice.” Keska finally mutters after picking up her feet to walk hand in hand alongside Chi. A dash of pink floods her cheeks as she pretends to look off to the side at something. While she may not have been a real princess, she loved to be spoiled by Chi’s cooking at every opportunity. It’d also give them some time alone at the house to figure out the logistics of the trip.

Some time passes as the girls move along the streets. As the walk, they can see all the people cooking, backing, selling/trading, forging and so much more. With all the noises, the smelling mixing togther and everyone yelling above everyone else, shows how active and lively everything is here. There are several men who catcall to them and make stupid comments about their good looks.
After a little more traveling, they being to walk up the steps to where they call home. On the doorstep is a flier that is asking for adventures to help look for more artifacts that may still be in hiding. Next to the flier is a rolled up newspaper that is mostly about what is happening in and around Soiyam.

Keska and Chi arrive at their modest apartment building. It's certainly not luxury but it had done them well so far. Though the mental exhaustion of today is starting to settle in with Chiharu as she squats down to pick up the mail loosely thrown infront of the steps. She doesn't pay any mind to them and opens the door for Keska so the two can go inside and make their way up the run down steps of the decrepit building. One day Chi would buy a house. No! A mansion! Something nice, and wide, with tons of space and unnecessarily extravagant features and decorations. Something Keska would adore and cherish, too.
She shakes her head at the thought, not wanting to dream too much and stops infront of their apartment door to fiddle with her keys. "So, what did you want to do for lunch. I could cook but... we probably only have veggies laying around. If that. I'm not sure..." she sighs a little and opens the door, gesturing inside. "Personally I could go for something meaty..."
Try as she might, she appears a little absent minded. She feels unable to shake the conversation from earlier. It hadn't even occured to her before that the two of them might go travelling again, and she supposes it wouldn't be terribly far from the sounds of it. Chi rubs her temples briefly, following Keska into the modest apartment and closing the door behind them.

On the walk home, the two remained relatively quiet amongst the bustling city. It was all white noise to Keska, especially the jeers of less than respectable men. She used to scoff at people like that, but she eventually figured out that's what they wanted. She decides to pay them no heed, yet subconsciously walks closer alongside Chiharu.
Upon finally reaching their home, Keska lets out a long but silent yawn while her partner gathers up their mail. It was only lunchtime, but she was already a bit fatigued. In most instances, she'd just take a nap, but Atrium’s offer kept her too wired.
The resolution laid with Chiharu. The idea of possibly seeing a castle in all its glory certainly filled Keska’s eyes with stars, but at the end of the day she would be content with whatever Chi decided.
“Yes please~!” Keska immediately exclaimed when Chi mentioned lunch. She cut off her companion’s sentence, but the latter didn't seem bothered. The tanned martial artist continues her sentence as they climb the stairs, eventually revealing the duo’s possible lack of ingredients. The news puts Keska in mild distress but she quickly recovers, seeing this as an opportunity.
“You know~” She says coyly, giving Chiharu a comically seductive look as she prances into their apartment. “If we don’t have anything here—we could always go to eat at that inn~!” Keska didn’t need to drop any names. It was clear what was on both the rogues’ minds. It’s not like they lacked the funds to go out to eat, and where better to go than there? A bit further in, Keska plops herself on the couch, and crosses her legs. “In all honesty Chi...” her tone lacks any pretense, “I don’t mean to bug you about it...” She tries to collect her thoughts but unfortunately blurts them out as soon as they come. “I know we have a stable life here but…wouldn’t that be good to go?” Why was Keska herself so hellbent on this trip? Even if this trip would be good for Chi, why would that be the case? What brought her to that conclusion? Her mind races as she looks for her justification. Her eyes dart around the room momentarily before resting on her partner.
Chi was the answer. Their time in the caravan wasn’t always the best at every single moment, she wouldn’t pretend they never had any troubles. Occasionally they had bad times—fleeting moments of displeasure—but rarely had Keska ever witnessed Chiharu so unsatisfied and conflicted. It wasn’t what she wanted for someone so important to her. It was a sign of failure on her part. If Chi loved their time in the caravan, then Keska needed to help restore that. Yes, what more of a reason would she need?
“Wouldn’t that… Wouldn’t that make you happy?”

“You know~” Keska says coyly, sending a chill down Chi's spine as they enter the modest apartment. She was initially thinking of using the excuse for an early shower and a well deserved nap but...
...she hears her partner out mulling the idea over. She leans against the wall and crosses her arms as Keska explains their situation and makes the suggestion Chiharu was both dreading and equally hoping for. Her roommate, seemingly a little nervous maybe? seems to look about the room trying to find something to occupy her eyes with before they settle back on Chiharu. The latter rogue couldn't help but stare back at her soft egg-plant coloured eyes - easily her most beautiful feature. She simply thinks and stares for a while, before she catches herself staring again. A subtle blush forms on her face and she closes her eyes instead. "Well..." she says as her tail swipes back and forth against the wall like the worlds most ineffective duster. "...well..." she repeats again.
Chiharu instinctively goes over the situation in her head from a business perspective - naturally. "We have a decent bit of money... rent isn't due yet... need groceries... ... ...we need to go scavenging now that we have all this spare time and..." she pauses her thoughts for a moment. "...scavenging?" she says softly and her ears twitch lightly at the thought. "Scavenging. Hmm."
An immediate pang of idiocy overcomes Chiharu. Naturally this was the best choice of action. Everyone in this city who didn't create wares scavenged or traded. Traders from out of town always have the same wares, the same products, the same... 'things'. Who knew what kind of stuff they could find out there. Besides - that necklace. No one in this part of the city can afford the true value of something like that... especially if it was truly enchanted. As Chiharu thinks and thinks about this her tail increases in speed a little bit and she begins tapping her foot in thought.
"Alright!" Chiharu says with a sudden and seemingly random burst of energy and confidence as she opens her eyes, pushes herself off the wall and points directly at Keska. "Let's get cleaned. We're going for dinner. Make sure not to over-pack, I am not carrying your stuff again!" she smiles a jocular smile; one could easily confuse her for being thankful even. She heads for the washroom to take a quick shower.

“Alright!” Chiharu exclaims, jumping forward in a fit of excitement. Keska’s eyes light up at her partner's newfound resolve “Yes yes!” She squeaks giddily. Propelling herself off the couch, Keska clasps Chi’s right hand in both of her own. “Thank you Chi!” She gives her a quick peck on the cheek and hugs her, not thinking about the effect it would have on her best employee. “No overpacking. Got it!” The eggplant-haired beauty flashes the most genuine smile she could manage, closing her eyes in the process. She was so overjoyed at this point, that her usual pretentious-pomp had completely vanished from her demeanor.
Keska looks off to the side to spot the clock. “Erm…” The noble furrows her brow in thought before returning to her previous state. It really didn't matter what time it was in the end. The trip couldn't wait any longer and neither could Keska Jacques! “We can pack after! Let’s shower together!” She yells joyously, stripping and shuffling to the washroom as fast as she can. It seems in her excitement, she was getting quite ahead of herself.

After sometime of packing, Chiharu and Keska walk down the streets as they head over to the Hollow Wyvern Tavern. They can easily see that the tavern is very popular. As they walk in, they are hit with a wall of voices trying to talk over each other to be heard. As they look at all the faces, it doesn't take them long to find the white clad Doctor standing in front of a burly man and a young girl with pitch black hair between them. It is clear to the girls that Doc and the other man are in deep conversation. As they get closer, they can hear the man telling Doc. "Wait...Tell me who again? How did you meet them again?"
Before Doc answers the question, he turns and smiles when he sees the two rouges. He waves them over to the table they are at. He stands as they walk over to his table and greets them when they get close. "Welcome. I am glad you decided to join us." He gestures at the other man. "This is my long time friend RD..." He then walks over and puts his hands on the young girls shoulders. "...and this is my daughter Hitomi."
[Rotion is the same but RD is at the end. so it goes Chiharu, Keska, then RD]

As Chiharu and Keska approach the entrance of the Inn, Chi can't help but feel some excitement building. Part of it was coming from the Inn itself. On a day like this the place would be fully packed even this early in the afternoon and would likely remain that way for the rest of the day if she were to guess. People meant social exchanges, and social exchanges could only lead to some kind of profit at one point or another. People from all over would come to Inns to exchange stories of adventure, vent their frustrations of work and family, have a drink with friends and strangers alike and the occasional fight or two. Especially in this city. Especially in this part of the city... too.
Already there are plenty of people gathered outside, as was usual with busy social gatherings, and Chi takes a moment to stand and admire the effect a place this simple could have on the masses. She shifts her weight in anticipation, feeling the odd comfort of worn down stone under her feet, and gestures to the entrance. "Here we are, Kes." She instinctively leads the way to the Inn, making sure to stay right next to Keska. She wasn't worried about the girl or anything, but people at Inns had a way about them. It's all just in case and nothing past that, Chi is sure. When they get to the door she opens it with one arm and gestures inside, to let Keska enter first. It's pretty loud inside so Chiharu doesn't bother saying a word, she simply smiles confidently at her companion and follows her inside.
The doctor is easy to spot so the two make their way over to his and his companion's tables to introduce themselves and be introduced. Chi can't help but instinctively analyze the larger man and the girl. The man, his long time friend; RD, is quite the sight to look at. Chiharu wasn't often impressed but the man's body is well built and wearing some rather exotic clothes when compared to the rest of the city. Definitely a man to turn heads in the right places. The doctors daughter on the other hand has a wild kind of almost gothic beauty to her. Sharper structure, the dark hair, piercing eyes and pale skin. She remind her of her companion who has equally beautiful albeit more colourful and less wild features. Curious.
"Thank you, doc." she says after her brief examination and takes off her backpack to rest on the ground, right in-front of her feet. She specifically steps on one of the shoulder straps so she can feel whether or not anyone will move or touch the pack without her somehow noticing. Inns were usually safe but they could also be a hot-spot for thieves waiting for a group to fall into deep conversation to swipe some goods. "It's nice to meet you," she continues and reaches out towards RD, first, and then Hitomi, for a handshake. She will make a special mental note of the way they shake hands to try and learn more about them. "My name is Chiharu, and this is my friend Keska." The slightest pause interrupts her flow of speech when addressing Keska as her friend although Chi isn't aware of it herself.

Once Chi finally manages to get Keska out the door, the duo find themselves arriving at the Hollow Wyvern Tavern. “Chiii~! This is going to be so great!” The noble cheerfully replies to her partner’s announcement while adjusting the straps to her over-packed bag. She was still surprised her partner was so easy to convince. The diva had quite the knack for physical charm but she doubted it had such an effect on Chi. Besides, she usually seemed irritated when Keska teased her. Keska couldn’t help it though, she was cute when she was flustered. In the end, that only left her words—even more unlikely.
As Chi opens the door, Keska begins to feel somewhat cautious in front of the sea of noise coming from the building. However any hesitation she feels quickly subsides with one quick, confident smile from the tanned beauty before her. Keska smiles back in return while stepping into the busy inn.
Not long after, the rogues spot Atrium at the table with who Keska presumed was his daughter and friend previously mentioned. Upon getting closer, the doctor welcomes the two, introducing his good friend RD, and his daughter Hitomi. “Yes! Thank you for the invitation.” Keska says modestly. After Chiharu introduces Keska and herself, Keska adds “It’s a pleasure to meet both of you.” She pays little mind to the minutiae of their physical appearance; deep analysis like that was beyond her. She instead focused on more obvious aspects. Hitomi seemed fairly normal herself. Her pale nature contrasted surprisingly well with her darker hair and well defined profile. A small pang of jealousy rose in Keska’s chest only to be quickly dismissed. She couldn’t help wanting to be the undisputed beauty in the room. She preferred to label that jealousy as 'job security'.
RD was more or less, ‘rugged’. That was the best way Keska could describe him. His muscled build reminded her of Chi's, but was notably differentiated by the numerous scars present on his skin. There wasn’t much more to him that she could immediately tell, yet she feels slightly intimidated by him. “I hope he’s a gentle giant...”
Chi’s mentioning of ‘friend’ finally registers in the noble’s brain, causing a dash of pink to appear on her cheeks, as well as subsequent impairment of her brain. “Y-Yes well, Chi is my best and brightest employee. She’s been with me from the start. An exemplary friend!”
“Erm...” Keska pauses, feeling a tinge of embarrassment. “May I have a seat?” She finally says, seeking to relieve herself of her heavy burden as quickly as possible. Wanting to know more about their new group, Keska asks an innocent question. “Chi here and I run a store here in Soiyam where we met Mister Atrium this morning.” She gives a small smile. “Hitomi, RD, what do you do? Are you all traveling for the same reason?”

RD glances over as the pair walk in, the more rowdy patrons of the tavern definitely taking notice at the appearance of the taller of the fox rogues. He raises an eyebrow at their them, and slowly turns his attention back to the 'Good Doctor' with an incredulous look. He looks them over once more as they approach the table the trio are currently stationed, focusing first on the oddly short rogue, her tan, yet somewhat toned body, and baggy clothing, as well as a lack of a weapon, letting him know right away that this one wasn't afraid to get physical. He respected it and nodded accordingly as she gave him the once over with sharp eyes, though her long scarf reminded him fondly of another person he had parted with awhile ago. He then turned his attention to the natural beauty next to her beauty being the key word, as her manner of dress gave off waves of elegance he couldn't hope to ignore her purple hair and eyes complimented nicely by her thinly framed glasses. He notes a hint of tightening in her features as she glances at him though, which causes him to wonder...
He draws his eyes to her weapon resting by her side and begins to draw a conclusion, a rather irritating conclusion, but pushes it away for now. He turns his attention back to the smaller fox as she introduces herself as Chiharu and her 'friend' as Keska, reaching her hand out to him first. Her pause and Keska's blush followed by a moment of hesitation made him smirk a bit, before he remembers himself and pulls over a pair of chairs, not really caring if anyone had been seated in them before he pulled them, they were empty at that time and ya'know the ol saying... He slides the chairs up behind the pair before offering his own hand in greeting. "Richard Durant, Top class merc at yer service! Pleased to be of your acquaintance, the pleasure is all mine, Chiharu, Keska!" He smiles and nods as he shakes both of their hands, with both of his, crossing his arms to do so, before returning to Doc and Hitomi's side. "... For the most part, yes indeed. Atrium here tends to get into some interesting adventures so i stick around when i'm not on personal trips or handling a job of my own; he mentioned heading to where his old teacher resides, i figured i'd tag along. I missed Hitomi, and i'll admit i'm curious about his teacher." He ruffles the aforementioned girl's hair a bit as he answers Keska, smiling like mischievous older brother.

Doctor Atrium gestures for the two ladies to sit in the seats that RD just brought. "Please, take a seat. Have you two had anything to eat? We waited for you to arrive but got tired of waiting and just ordered."
Hitomi smiles and laughs as RD messes with her hair. When he is done, she looks over at the two new people that RD and her dad seem to be friendly around. She quickly gets out of her seat and moves right up to Keska. As she moves around sniffing the air around Keska and then all around Chiharu, the two rogues can see that she is wearing some leather armor, made to look like everyday clothing. Her back is opened to sevel her bare back and her sleeves are loose as well. She stops circling both girls, she moves in front of Keska. "Me no do work. Hitomi stay with Dad or uncle RD. They also teach Hitomi to speak and fight! Hitomi tough!" She flexes her arms to show them off. She then takes a few more sniffs near Keska before speaking again. "Why you smell like fruit? Does you has fruit?" Her mouth begins to salivate as she thinks about getting food.
Atrium giggles as he watches his daughter having fun, it has been awhile since she got to talk to any other then him or RD. "Be careful wearing anything that smells like food. She LOVES food and will try and eat anything she thinks is food. Took us forever to her to stop eating candles and soap." He looks at RD as he recalls all the food scented items. "I would say good times, but I would be lying."

Chiharu can't help but chuckle lightly at Hitomi's behaviour. It's not very typical, but in some way also sweet. Her manner of speech catch her a little off guard initially as even with her good sense of people the girl seemed, on the surface, like any other. She takes a seat and nods RD an unspoken 'Thank you'. "I see." she says to the two men and briefly adresses Hitomi. "It's nice to meet you." she then continues on her previous sentence while lifting an arm to signal the nearest waiter, if there is any; "We have definitely been in need of travel. We used to travel a lot but have been rather stuck as of late." She instinctively nudges her leg to feel the weight of the coins safely secured in one of her satchels as a reminder that they will be, at least financially, fine.
If a waiter should come by, she will order a rather large and hearty meal and some beer. Otherwise after a while of waiting she will excuse herself and go up to the bar to order for herself and keska (based on keska's interests).

As Hitomi moves about, Keska struggles at the jarring difference between what she expected from Hitomi and her actual personality. It was… much more innocent than she imagined. A pang of shame hits her conscience, a rare occasion for the semi-egotistical rogue. Usually she strove to be the top diva in the vicinity — unabashedly sizing up her ‘competition’ and ensuring Chi didn't drop her for someone else. However, the Hitomi in front of her — no, beside her now, didn't seem to care about anything of that nature. She simply walks around flexing her muscles and investigating her two new acquaintances in a surprisingly friendly manner. She was no rival at all, moreso a perfect candidate for the refined teachings of Lady Jacques herself!
Keska giggles slightly at Hitomi’s remark about fruit. “There's no fruit, it's my favorite body wash!” The noble reaches into her bag for her soap. “See?” She will open the cap and offer Hitomi a sniff if she seems interested. “It's banana scented! I love love love it!~ J-Just don't eat it please, and I'll share it with you.” She gives the strange girl a heartfelt smile.
At this point Keska’s own hunger becomes fairly evident. Looking to her partner, she realizes Chi’s already on the case. The saleswoman was well on her way to acquiring yet another consecutive ‘Employee of the Month’ award. Though the true test will be whether or not she remembers her ditzy employer’s favorite dish, steamed scallops! And ale if Chi is feeling especially brave!

RD rolls his eyes when Atrium glances over. "Geh, too many to count. She got really sick eating lotions and soaps, or the time she tried chewing on sticks or incense..." Seeing her lick her lips in the anticipation of getting a meal causes Richard to begin to see about getting an attendant of his own, lest the girl of 17 years do something unwelcoming towards their guests. After a few moments of trying, he looks back at the group and to a further extent Keska and Hitomi. He sees and hears her offer the girl her soap and instantly reprimands her "Please don't do that!" Realizing he may have raised his voice, he follows up with "Let's not tempt her... ok?" He sighs, and plopping down in his own chair asks: " So how much did Atrium tell you about where we're going? I'll be honest, this might be a bit dangerous and i wanna be sure you're not getting into something you two can't handle."
